Chocolate & Rose Thumbprints

A delicious recipe for the Heart, made with love and infused with rose, cacao, & hawthorn to support the emotional & physical heart.
These are quick and delicious, grain-free, dairy-free and lightly sweetened, thumbprint cookies for being open-hearted and sharing in love. Enjoy!

Chocolate & Rose Thumbprints
.:. Ingredients .:.
- 1 3/4 cup gf all-purpose flour
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/4 c. tahini (or any nut or seed butter you like)
- 1/3 c. coconut oil
- 1/4 c. maple syrup
- 6 Tbsps. cocoa powder
- 2 heaping Tablespoons @botanicallucidity Cacao Nectar (contains heart-opening and protective hawthorn, rose, Damiana & Mucuna)
- 2 Tbsps Rose petals, dried
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 tsp sea salt

1. Preheat the oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients thoroughly.
3. Add all the wet ingredients into the dry and mix.
4. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of batter per cookie into your hands, and roll into a ball. Place on the parchment-lined sheet and use your thumb to indent each cookie. Lightly flatten out the cookie.
5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, and cool in a rack.
6. While baking, prepare the filling.

- 15 Mejdool Dates, soaked in boiling water for 15 minutes, pits and hard bits removed.
- 2 heaping teaspoons Cacao Nectar from @botanicallucidity
- 1/4 cup + 1-2 tablespoons coconut cream (top of the can, no liquid)
- Sprinkle of dry rose petals to finish

1 . Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender and scoop into baked and cooled cookies.
2. Sprinkle with rose petals.
3. Enjoy right away or let them set for an hour and then enjoy.
